The Globe and Mail’s 2018 Young Lions Qualifying Competitions this year had over 409 teams competing – a record high! Our very own Mourad Bouaziz, Copywriter and Edouard-Jean Coune, Art Director, out of our Montreal office, took home Gold in the Print competition. The team was vying for the chance to compete at the Young Lions competition in Cannes.
Each year a non-profit organization is selected that the teams are briefed on and they have 24 hours to answer a brief in their specific category. The non-profit that was selected this year was 60 million girls, an organization focused on girls’ education in developing countries. The teams were tasked with helping 60 million girls to promote their new program Mobile Learning Labs. Each category was to focus on fundraising, volunteering or building awareness. There were some great pieces of work submitted, see below for the teams Gold winning print piece. As one of only ten young lions from across the country, the team is off to the Cannes Festival in June to represent Canada competing against the best-of-the-best from around the world.
