When I was little, my older sister made up a game in which I would get her things and, in return, she’d reward me with a single cheerio. As we got older, and I began to catch on, my sister invented different variations of the game. For example, the baby dragon version, in which I would start as an egg and hatch into a baby dragon, while my sister feigned just enough excitement to keep me interested in the game. As a result, I will accept cheerios for my work in lieu of cash.
