TORONTO, CANADA (February 27, 2017) McCann Worldgroup Canada announced earlier today that following an exhaustive industry search, Karen Pearce is joining the agency as President, McCann West. A Calgary native, Pearce will oversee business operations for all Western Canada, including leadership of both the Vancouver and Calgary offices.

Working alongside McCann’s multidisciplinary teams, Pearce will be based in the Calgary Office. Her mandate will include fueling new growth and accelerating world-class creative product across Western Canada.
With nearly a decade spent in senior level management roles, Pearce oversaw the Calgary and Vancouver teams as General Manager of TAXI West, and helped to establish and grow the agency demonstrably during her tenure. Having spent her entire 18-year career in the West, she has an incredible reputation in the industry with agency and client communities in both cities. Her strategic and creative leadership is admired and well recognized among past clients including: TELUS, BCLC, BC Hydro, Alberta Motor Association and WestJet.

Pearce joined the team effective February 14, 2017. The addition of Pearce follows a number of new business wins and high caliber talent acquisitions. These include Matt Lewis, who took charge of Momentum (the agency’s brand experience team) as Managing Director, Josh Stein who joined as ECD, Toronto, Calvin Daniels as SVP, Managing Director, Commonwealth//McCann and George Panopoulos the new President of MRM//McCann.
